Fright Night: A Tale of Horror (Chapter 1-7)

Chapter 1

  This scary story takes place in Texas where Tom and Alice, parents of three teenage daughters named Jennifer, Carla, and Samantha decided to take a short vacation from New York where they all lived. The five of them were so happy and excited about this trip. Alice been thinking how are we going to get to Texas. Shortly, Tom, the father resolved to fly from New York to Texas instead of driving. They all agreed.  

    Alice said, "I think it is a good idea, this way we will be able to see our good friends sooner than we thought." Yes, but not knowing what to expect from this trip. Finally the day came up and they all flew from New York to Texas. Their friends were waiting for them at the airport. All of them were so happy to see each other again, so their friends Juliette and Casimiro invited them for a nice dinner at their place.  

    When they arrived there, while Juliette went to the kitchen to cook dinner for them. Alice made a remark to her husband, "Tom, Juliette and Casimiro want us to stay with them while we are in Texas instead of going to a hotel, but don't you see something creepy about this house?" Tom responded, "Yes, but what do you mean by that, well honey every detail in this house, including the decorations, the way they both act and behave is very strange, I remember our friends were not like that before."  

    Jennifer is a 17 year old girl, her sister Carla who was 16 years old and the youngest Samantha who was just 15 years old were all listening to their mother's comments and were frightened, but did not say anything to their parents, instead they just kept their thoughts as a secret among themselves. Finally Juliette and Casimiro came back from the kitchen with the dinner they cooked and began to talk to them in a very strange and spooky way. And here is where our mystery Halloween story begins.  

    When Juliette and Casmirio came back both dressed wild and scary, Casimiro as a Vampire and his wife Juliette as a werewolf, Alice and Tom thought they dressed like that because Halloween hoilday was getting closer, but no, when Tom asked them, "Why do you both dress like that?" Casimiro and his wife looked at each other in a very mysterious and said "We changed a lot since we joined a group of people that love and believe in scary and terrifying things, this is why we decorated our home like this," she continue talking.... "After you stay with us for a few days you will be, perhaps very frightened, well, you will see for yourself.  

    It was very late when dinner time was over, so all of them including Juliette and Casimiro went to their assigned bedrooms. The young girls were afraid of what comes next after they heard their parents' friends opinion about people who love and believe in scaring things. the girls asked their parents if they can stay with them in the same room, but they said, "NO, because there are only two beds in this room."  

    Alice said to them, "You don't need to be afraid, your room is next to ours. If you need us, come and knock at our door immediately." Jennifer, Carla and Samantha accepted, but they were not happy with the idea. Finally the three of them went to their rooms. The young girls' bedroom have three beds, that was OK, but Samantha said to her sisters in a trembling tone of voice "Look, please look!.!.!.!.!.!. at our bed spreads!!!"  

    When they did, they were in shock. "WHAT IS THIS!!" the three young girls yelled as their three bed spreads were decorated with plastic skeletons, the walls were all in black with gigantic white spider webs all over the room and blood stains here and there. "WHAT CAN WE DO!!" Scared Samantha exclaimed crying in a loud voice. Jennifer understanding her sister said, "We have to leave this house first thing in the morning, but first, we have to tell our parents tonight, NOW, don't waist one more minute."  

    So the three sisters went to their parents' bedroom, screaming, why because when they were going out of their room, the door fell down on the floor in front of them, and not only that the mirror on the door broke into pieces, and a very mysterious voice saying and laughing in a evil way, "if you continue living in this house many bad, creepy things will happen to all of you." the voice disappeared and Jennifer, Carla and Samantha went to their Mom and Dad's room. told them all that happened and they both did agree with the girls, because Alice and Casimiro also went through very, but very petrifying moments inside their room, blood all over the place, ghosts all around them, and so many other creepy things that they don't want to talk about.  

    All of them, Mom, Dad, and the girls were frightened to death, but Tom was talking to his wife and kids, "Listen very carefully what I am planning to do." Tom said to them then walked over to his wife and talk to her about his plan.  

    "Even though our daughters are terrorized by all the things happening around here, wait, do not leave this place yet." He added. "First let me get in touch with Leroy, a long time friend of mine, he is an excellent detective and he can come and stay with us for a while since the spooky people Juliette and Casimiro, who are not our friends anymore, of course, told me that I could bring a friend to their house if I decided to do so. Let me call Leroy from my cell phone and ask him to let me know when he can come and stay with us for a while. As soon as he arrives, I will tell him not to say a word to these bad people that he is a detective, just a friend, that's all." He finished explaining then look at his wife.  

    "Alice, I want you to talk to our daughters what I am planning to do, and tell them not to be afraid of anything. I know my plan will work out." He told his wife who nodded in agreement. Alice agreed, "do not worry Tom, I will let our daughters know about your plans and I am sure they will cooperate, I don't foresee any problems with that."  

    Finally Alice talked to Jennifer, Carla, and Samantha about their father's plans and they approved. "I think it’s a good idea mom," Jennifer commented, "The three of us accept anything that might help our family get out of this mess.  


    A few days after Alice talked to her daughters regarding Tom's plans she told her husband their daughters' opinion, then, he said, "since they agree with my idea let me proceed and take action immediately by calling my friend Leroy; as I mentioned before, he is an excellent private detective, and I know, he is going to be a great help in this case, especially he will try to find out the mystery involving this family. I trust him, he is the best.  

    The following day Tom made a phone call to Leroy, explaining half of the story, however, Leroy's answer was, "Tom, let me go in person and stay there for a few weeks as your friend, not as a private detective, by doing this I will be able to learn more about this creepy people, their background and much more."  "Leroy, I have a feeling your plan is going to work perfect, you are a very intelligent person and an outstanding investigator, I have no doubts at all." Tom said over the phone.  

    Two days later after Tom talked to Leroy over the phone. Leroy came in, then Tom called Juliette and Casimiro over and introduced him to them saying "Leroy is a very good friend of mine, he loves us very much, and since both of you allowed me to bring any of my friends over at your house, I invited him to spend a few days with us." Casimiro and Juliette nodded, "This is okay with us." Casmirio said, "You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you want. I will bring you to your room now so please follow me. I hope you enjoy your stay." He added as he leads Leroy to his room. "Thank you sir." Leroy said then looked at Tom and whispered in his ear, "how can I enjoy this spooky place." Tom began to laugh hard. "See you later my friend" Tom said to him.  

    Casimiro lead Leroy to his room and promptly disappeared. Leroy could not believe his eyes, his whole  room was covered with spider webs, bloody walls and doors, skeletons all over the place and other terrifying things surrounding the area. Leroy was frantic, asking himself, 'what kind of people are Casimiro and Juliette, not normal of course, they are evil individuals, not typical human beings and not believing in God; I don't like that, however, for my dear friends Tom, Alice and their daughters, I will continue my investigation without stopping until I find out what is going on inside this malevolent, evil-minded people. It won't be easy, I know that for sure, but nothing will stop me until I uncover the truth concerning these terrible persons, otherwise, I would feel frustrated and disappointed.  

    Leroy, Tom, Alice, and the three daughters were having breakfast together around the pool when all of the sudden Samantha yelling in panic and pointed out scary creatures coming out from the pool, one of them, a medium size snake, all were frightened, because when Leroy got up and looked inside the pool, all of the scary and creepy creatures disappeared and the water was completely clean and clear like nothing or no one was inside. "I can't believe my eyes!! Can you?" Leroy asked Tom and his family.  

    "Of course not Leroy!" Tom yelled at him. "As soon as we finished eating, I am going to start investigating room by room. First yours Tom, then your daughters, plus the entire house." Leroy said. "In the meantime, while I continue my investigation, please do not get too close to Juliette or Casmirio, maintain your distance please, these people seems to be very dangerous. They can harm any of you, so be careful, especially your girls." Leroy told Tom and Alice. "My promise to you Tom and Alice is to keep you both informed of any important details and updates.  

Chapter 2  

  Leroy began the investigation, first, Tom and Alice's room. When he entered their room, he started talking to himself. 'I am not surprised at all, knowing Juliette and Casimiro anything scary, something bad can be found. How can anyone may expect something different from them,' Leroy shortly screamed, "IMPOSSIBLE!" Leroy said before starting to talk to himself again, 'Blood all over the room, and so many other petrifying things, besides all of these destructive conditions, the smell in the room is horrible.  

    Leroy kept looking and walking around, 'while checking Tom and Alice's room, I was curious, suspicious, to be more specific, it did happen when I saw one of the drawers of these demonic people dest half opened, then my curiosity could now way any longer, so I went over directly to that drawer and opened it all the way, what did I find inside, a letter, yes, but by whom. Let's find out right away who wrote this mysterious letter.' He talked to himself still. "Good thing its not a long one, but let me start reading it." Leroy said out loud. This is what this letter says:  

To Whom who read this letter,  

  My name is Maritza, I am thirty years old and willing to discover all the bad things these people are capable of. I have been in this place for many years, to be eact, eight years serving these crazy people, Casimiro and Juliette, but I didn't want to leave this place until being able to find out more about this malevolent personages. Little by little, while I was working for Juliette and Casimiro I watched these two very close, and found out many horrendous situations, whoever is going to read this letter is going to panic.  

  One day while I was cleaning one of the rooms, theirs to be exact, besides all the other frightful and shocking facts already found by me. I detected a bad smell coming out from their walking closet, even being so scared I made up my mind, became very brave, and finally opened the closet door and guess what I found, any person reading this is going to be petrified. Inside the closet I found a dead body. I was screaming left in panic, running down the stairs, frightened, out of control, and going to my room immediately. after all of this happened, I said to myself, 'I only have one choice to make, leave this house and these terrible, insane people, the sooner the better, and I did, without telling Casimiro and Juliette.  

  My only wish is that someday, in a near future a good detective will be able to find out what is going on in this haunted house. I am praying to God that this happens soon.

  After Leroy the detective read this letter, he was shocked, yes, but at the same time happy that he was able to find this letter. 'Thanks to Maritza and all the information she gave, it will be facilitate my investigation, making it possible for me to find the mystery that involves this crazy family. Now that I am so well informed I will continue my investigation with the young girls' room.'  

Chapter 3

  When Leroy entered the girls' room, he could not believe his eyes again, "OH MY GOODNESS!" Leroy yelled, "This is exactly as Jennifer explained to her parents, their bed spreads, decorated with platice skeletons, walls covered in black, with gigantic spider webs all around the room and blood all over the place." He explained. Leroy found a tape recorder in one corner of the girls' room with a cassette completely recorded. The cassette recorder had a cassette and Leroy started to rewind then plays it. It says,  

To whoever is listening to this recording,  

  I prefer not to reveal my identity, but I am a witness of all the crimes Casimiro and Juliette committed during my stay inside this demonic house. I was one of their bet friends when they were different, or supposed to be. These two people joined a Black Magic group, I would say a satanic one. I don't believe in these things above all, so for me to continue living here was almost impossible, however, my decision was to stay a little bit longer and try to find out more concerning Casimiro and Juliette and the rest of the criminals and I did. The satanic group murdered several people of their own group. They never found out I was a witness, hiding from them all the time. The murders were atrocious, deplorable, then my decision was to leave this horrible place immediately. I am sorry not to give more details regarding this case, still, whoever is listening to this recording is going to be petrified, fearful of what I saw. I said to myself the following words; 'Leave the rest to a detective or the police, not to me."

  After Leroy read and heard everything, he thought the best thing to do was to see his friends Tom and Alice and let then know his experience with Maritza's letter, the recorded cassette and other terrible situations he found through his investigations. He did, explaining every since thing to them of what he read, heard and found during his research on this case, but anyway, Leroy thought he had to continue his investigations through other sources that will lead him the way to find more of all, or at least some of the crimes Juliette and Casimiro are responsible for. The best way to do this is to talk to their group, or to face these two criminals directly, face to face.  

Chapter 4

   The following day Leroy got up very early, 7am to be exact, and went downstairs to Casimiro's studio. He shortly sat down at his desk to focus and gather up all the necessary information to give to Tom and Alice.  In the mean time, while he was working on that, he looked up at the wall facing him and he was in shock again. "I could not believe what I saw, a body of a woman hanging from the waist to the ceiling alive, asking and yelling at the same time." Leroy said.  

    "Can you help me please? I am helpless. As soon as you assist me I will tell you the whole story." The young lady pleaded. Leroy looked at this young woman and gave her support immediately. "You must be very young," Leroy said, "how old are you?" he asked the young lady.  

  "I am eighteen years old and pregnant, and my name is Rose Marie." She responded to the uncover detective. "Young lady, are you a friend of Casimiro and Juliette?" He asked her. "No sir, they are two criminals. Did you know that and are you their friend?" Rose Marie asked Leroy. Leroy responded, "No I am not a friend of those two creepy people by the names of Casimiro and Juliette, and as soon as I entered this haunted mansion, I knew who they were, my intuition, perhaps. First, let me tell you who I am." Leroy said to the young lady. "My name is Leroy, a private detective hired by two of my best friends, Tom and Alice. Please promise me that you won't tell Casimiro and Juliette who I am." Leroy said.  

    Leroy talking to the young lady said, "now that we know each other better in such terrible circumstances, of course, I hope you will be able to speak to me with no fear at all, and tell me all that happened to you and your family step by step; you promised to do so if I help you from the agony you were suffering, remember?" Rose Marie looked at him and nodded as Leroy took her down from the ceiling. "Agony that was both, mental and physical, they were torturing me!" She yelled at him. "Come down young lady. Rose Marie, I was going to assist you in anyway I can because seeing you in such misery and pain really made me very sick and upset." Leroy told her calming but with a hint of sorrowful in his voice. "Okay Leroy, I am going to start from the beginning." She said as she gets ready to tell her story.  

    "My parents, myself and my boyfriend, all of us, were very good friends to Casimiro and Juliette, not knowing the real truth about this malevolent human beings. We stayed them several times with no problem, however, the last time we did visit them, which is this one, we noticed strange behavior with both of them, such as the way they dressed, act and so on. Their group of friends were witches, very scary people looking at us like if they wanted to kill us. That night, we all went to bed, my parents in one room, my boyfriend and myself in another room, all decorated as you probably already knew, with blood all over the place and creepy creatures all around. This is just the beginning of my story." Rose Marie told Leroy before letting out a tear of worry.  

  "Leroy, you won't believe half of the things I have to tell you, is like watching a horror movie. As for now, I still don't know where my parents or my boyfriend are. When I finish telling you half of my story would you help me find my family and boyfriend?" She asked him. "Of course I will Rose Marie." Leroy said with a gentle smile. "Well, now that I feel better let me continue my story." Rose Marie said with a relief tone before continuing her story.  

       "One day, long before these criminals hanged me from the ceiling. My mom, dad and my boyfriend were still with me as we all went to one of the rooms these people have, because this mansion has ten bedrooms, six bathrooms and many other rooms. Did you know that?" She asked and Leroy nodded his head as yes. "And guess what we found in one of the bedrooms we went to, a dead body of a young girl recently murdered, it had to be, since fresh blood was coming out of her body constantly, nonstop, then when we open the door to the bathroom adjacent to that room and we found another body, dead of course, of a man inside the tub recently murdered, same scary, horrible view as the young girl in the bedroom next to the bathroom. After these moments of terror and fear we experienced, my parents, boyfriend and myself decided to rest for one hour or two and continue our search later." She told him before continuing    .    

  "We did, and the whole group felt better. After we had enough rest, the four of us heard somebody screaming in another room, we all hurried up and ran across a hall in order to get to that room as soon as possible. Finally we got there and guess what, a man was inside a closet all tied up with a rope yelling in pain, 'HELP ME PLEASE!' My boyfriend began to untie the man, when he finally finished doing so, the man, feeling free at last said to all of us, 'I want to leave this horrible place immediately', this people doing this to me must be crazy, delinquent or what. Please, don't ask for my name, thank you for helping me, but 'I am leaving!!! I AM LEAVING!!! GOOD BYE! GOOD BYE!' even though this was a very sad moment, we all had to laugh when this man was screaming 'I AM LEAVING, I AM LEAVING.' and repeating 'GOOD BYE! GOOD BYE!' in such manners, my boyfriend commented and I qoute, "the way this man said those words made me laugh. Well, now let's move to another room and see what is next and waiting for us."  

  "When we entered the next area, guess what we found, three dead bodies on the floor,  young, probably between twenty or twenty-five years old. According to the way they looked it seemed they were murdered recently. My boyfriend looking at me exclaimed 'These people are criminals, don't you think so Rose Marie?' No doubt my answer was "No doubt about it Jan Paul." Well Leroy, now that you are aware of my boyfriend's name, I am going to let you know my parents' names as well. They are John and Marina Cassidy, by the way, my boyfriend's whole name is Jan Paul Laurent, his parents are French, they live in Paris where both of them were born, My boyfriend miss both of them a lot, although both parents and son visit each other often." Rose Marie told Leroy as Leroy was taking notes of everything.

  Leroy gently offered her his bottle of water which Rose Marie accepts before she continues with her story. “That Saturday, Casimiro and Juliette invited my parents to have dinner with them without knowing all the horrible crimes we saw; my mom and dad did not accept the invitation. So Casimiro and Juliette were very upset and said to my parents, and I quote, “If any of you don’t show up for dinner tonight you will see what is going to happen to both of you as well as your daughter Rose Marie and her boyfriend Jan Paul.” Although they were filled with fear and petrified, my dad answered back to such criminals saying, “By the way Casimiro are you harassing us?” Casimiro and Juliette looked at my family and began to laugh at us before they left.” Rose Marie said as she drinks some water with some shivers and shakes. Leroy sat next to her and gently hugs her with some rubs to her back.

Chapter 5

  Rose Marie felt a bit better from Leroy's hug and rubbing on her back. She shortly continued her story, but she was taking it slow and easy. "So it was Sunday when my parents made plans to take a long walk around the area, and I thought since mom and dad didn't know the neighborhood that well so they probably invited Jan Paul to join them. I was sleeping when they left so I did not know exactly what really happened. Finally, I woke up and found out that my parents and Jan Paul were not with me anymore, I tried to look everywhere around this haunted mansion as mush as I could, but nothing came up. My mom, Dad and Jan Paul just vanished, then asked myself, 'What can I do now?' I was crying like a baby, imagine Leroy, not being able to find three people I love so much. Now that you know my story, can you help me find my dad, mom and Jan Paul? I know you are an excellent detective, and besides, I offer myself to help anytime you need me." Rose Marie explained, questioned and commented.

  "I will my very best to help you find your loved ones Rose Marie, especially now that you are pregnant. It is very important to remember to take care of yourself always, but more now during the first few months of your pregnancy, however, don't forget there is a baby coming soon that needs all of your love, care and attention." Leroy told her as he smiled softly at her. "Thanks for your advice and concern Leroy." Rose Marie smiled as Leroy nods. "Rose Marie, before I begin the investigation regarding your family, come with me so you can meet my friends Tom, Alice and their three lovely daughters, I know they will be more than happy to meet you." Leroy explained as Rose Marie asked a question, "When are we going to see them?" "We will see them tomorrow Rose Marie." Leroy replied before continuing. "So when we see them tomorrow I am sure it will be hard for my friends to believe the horrifying story you just told me, not to mention when I saw you hanging from the ceiling and pregnant, and the disappearance of your loved ones as well. Rose Marie, my friends will think they are watching a horror movie, like you said to me before, remember?" The detective asked as Rose Marie nodded as she remembers all too clearly.

Chapter 6

  Finally, the day came up to visit Leroy's friends. Rose Marie was excited to meet the detective's friends, but at the same time she was a little bit concerned if this family would be able to believe the shocking and horrendous story they are going to tell them, hope they do, for their own safety. "Leroy, before I forget and meet your friends as well, let me inform you about something that I missed in communicating to you. One day, before these criminals hanged me from the ceiling, they brought me by force to their diabolical group asking them to tell me who are in reality are Casimiro, Juliette and their whole malevolent group of scary friends. They did, notifying me who they are in a loud, suspicious and ironic voice, that Casimiro is a Vampire and his wife Juliette is a real Werewolf and the rest of the group laughing in a satirical, sarcastic way... ‘We are real vampires and werewolves.’ ” Rose Marie said as Leroy gave her a shock look..

   Rose Marie started to shake a bit as Leroy gently tries to calm her down. “I was so scared, one of them who already was converted into a vampire asked me, ‘Would you like to join us kid?’ Even though I was petrified, my only answer was “NO WAY!! I will NEVER be one of you and you want to know why? its because I believe in God and you creeps don’t.’ After this happened Casimio and Juliette dragged me to that room by force where you found me Leroy, and hanged me from the ceiling, yelling at me, ‘ALL THE PEOPLE YOU WILL SEE OR ALREADY SAW INSIDE THIS MANSION WERE MURDERED, IT WAS ALL DONE BY ALL OF US.’ and then they left laughing in a sadistic way. What else can you expect from someone like them.” Rose Marie finished talking as Leroy nods softly, “You are absolutely right Rose Marie, The only thing you can think of from people acting or behaving like this is a bad thing..”

   Rose Maire sighed softly then looks at Leroy, “Leroy, now that I have told you what I forgot to tell you before, lets go and visit your firends then let them know the whole story.” Rose Marie told Leroy as the Detective nods. “After meeting with my friends Tom and Alice with their three daughters, we can start investigating the disappearance of your parents and your boyfriend Jan Paul.” Leroy said with a soft smile. “Yes, but remember that you promised to help me with this problem and try to find them if you can.” Rose Marie reminded Leroy. “Of course I did Rose Marie and I will, that is a detective promise.” Leroy nods.

  They were on their way to meet Leroy’s friends when all of the sudden when passing by an elevator close to the living room, Leroy and Rose Marie heard a man’s voice screaming like hell “GET ME OUT OF HERE NOW!!!” Rose Marie stopped for a minute and said to the detective, “Leroy! Lets go inside this room now, I recognized this voice, its my boyfriend Jan Paul.” “So lets go in now Rose Marie, don’t want to waste any more time and see what is going on in there.” Leroy said. Both of them did what Leroy said and got into the room, but once inside the whole room was so dark that none of them were not able to see anything clearly, until finally they saw something and guess what they found. Leroy and Rose Marie were in shock from what they found, they found Rose Marie’s boyfriend Jan Paul hanging from the ceiling just like the same way Rose Marie was treated before when Leroy found her. Both Rose Marie and detective Leroy yelled at the same time, “THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND DISGUSTING!!!”

  Rose Marie was so happy to see her boyfriend again. He was suffering from all the tortures from Casimiro and Juliette did to him, but at least he is still alive. She went to directly to Jan Paul and started to untie him in order to release him from the pain and agony he was going through. Leroy was helping her untying Jan Paul for a few minutes, but then Leroy said to her, “Rose Marie, while you are helping your boyfriend I am going to continue some investigation regarding your parents. Is that ok with you?” “Of course Leroy, you know how much I want to hear something about my parents, what has happened to them and so on.” Rose Marie replied with a smile on her face as she was happy again.” Rose Marie, even if you see that my investigation takes long,
don’t move from here, wait for me, who knows maybe I will be able to bring good mews to you.

  So Leroy left while Rose Marie and Jan Paul were so happy and excited to see each other again, they were embracing and kissing each other with so much love and passion. Rose Marie said to her boyfriend, “Honey, I thought we would never be ale to see each other again;” “but we are back together and very much in love sweetheart” Jan Paul said then shortly asked as he rubs her belly. “By the way, how is our baby doing?” “Just great!!! Waiting to be born!!” Rose Marie said excitedly.

Chapter 7

   Finally after so many hours the detective finally return and guess what happened. He said to Rose Marie and Jan Paul, “first of all, I want both of you to go to the next room and hide there until I ask you to come out. Would you do that for me now, please?” He asked as the young couple nodded, “Of course we will Leroy.” The young couple replied. Then the detective commented to both of them, “I assure you will neer regret you doing this for me.” At last, after having this conversation with them Leroy left for a few minutes, the young couple went into the next room and Leroy coming back into the room with Rose Marie’s parents and a cute female puppy in his arms. He said to Marina and John, “both your daughter and her boyfriend are going to be so happy when they will think that this is just a dream and not a reality.” “We think so too Leroy.” Marina and John said with a smile on their faces.

 After preparing this beautiful surprise for Rose Marie, Jan Paul and her parents, Leroy thought, ‘this was the right moment to call the kids,’ but before he called the young couple, first he asked the parents to leave the room with the cute puppy saying to them, “go behind that door,” he pointed out which door, “and stay there until I call you.” “No problem,” John said, “just let us know.” Marina added to what John said.

  So after the parents left, Leroy called Rose Marie and Jan Paul. “Now you may come in, however, when I ask you to close your eyes and turn around, do not hesitate to do so.” Leroy said as he was smiling. Both Rose Marie and Jan Paul looked at him then each other then back at Leroy, “We are willing to follow your commands Leroy.” Jan Paul said as Rose Marie nodded in agreement. Well, since this is the case now, this is the moment I want both of you to close your eyes and turn around as I explained to you a while ago.” Both did, but blindfolded and then Leroy went to the door in silence, opened it and asked Rose Marie’s Parents to come out with hand gestures only, so the kids would not be able to hear any voices at all. John and Marina came in from behind the door with the puppy, but of course with such happiness on their faces.

   Then the surprise came up when Leroy asked the kids in a loud voice, “REMEMBER ALL THE THINGS I ASKED YOU TO DO?” “Yes Leroy,” Rose Marie answered, “do not worry, we were so excited that we thought it would be wise, prudent, I would say, to blindfolded ourselves for this moment, and we did.” Jan Paul added as Leroy nodded, “Good, you are such intelligent young people” Leroy exclaimed with joy. After all this conversation. Rose Marie and Jan Paul stayed very quiet, but wondering what’s going on, they remained silent until Leroy announced, “NOW ROSE MARIE AND JAN PAUL IS WHEN I WANT YOU BOTH TO TURN AROUND AND REMOVE YOUR BLINDFOLDS.”

     So both turned around and Leroy asked them to unfasten their blindfold immediately, and when they did Rose Marie and Jan Paul were ecstatic, joyful and asking together, “Are we on cloud nine Leroy?” “No, my young friends, you are not on cloud nine, this is a reality and not a dream. However, if you want to make yourself feel better you may call this moment a ‘Beautiful Dream.” Leroy responded. Both of them went running to embrace John and Marina, jumping of joy, kissing and more kissing then hugging tightly, “hold me tight mom and dad please,” Rose Marie yelled, “and who is this cute and lovely little puppy you are holding in your arms mom?” She asked. “I will tell you later honey.” Marina said while hugging her.” “Mom, remember that in a few months, both of you will be grandparents!” Rose Marie reminded them. Marina and John were so happy they began to jump like two young kids. “Now that we all had a wonderful time with the surprise, including myself,” the detective commented then he added. “Let’s all sit quietly and happily in one of the rooms and begins to tell Rose Marie and Jan Paul the story of John, Marina and the puppy, how I found and saved them from being murdered by those criminals we all know.”

   The kids even though they were so happy, at the same time, worried for what could have happened to their family and the new puppy. “By the way Leroy? How are we going to named the new puppy?” Jan Paul asked. Before Leroy could answer, Rose Marie did not want to wait another minute and answered that question. “Please Leroy, I already have a name for the little dog, it is an Hawaiian name, and I am sure all of you are going to love it. It is called, ‘Leilani,’ which means ‘Heavenly Child’ what do you all think?” ”Lovely name.” the whole group agreed. Leroy loved and enjoyed talking about the new member of the family, but he has to interrupt such interesting discussion so Rose Marie and Jan Paul will be able to hear the whole story regarding John, Marina, and the puppy, which he did. “Sorry kids for my interruption, but I know you will understand why I am doing this.”

   “Now, lets do what I suggested before going to the next room or stay where you are, quiet, but happy in the view of the fat that the story I have to tell you was an ordeal, a painful experience for your family, thanks to Godand me they are here today, saved and happy including Leilani.” Leroy said with a smile. “Well Rose Marie, do you remember the day we both found Jan Paul and you stayed in the room untyng him before I left?
